🎃 2025 Community Partnership Scarecrow Trail — Applications Now Open!
Get ready to show off your creativity and community spirit—the 2025 Scarecrow Trail is officially underway! Organized by Community Partnership, this annual fall tradition invites individuals, businesses, clubs, and families from the Town of Rocky Mount and Franklin County to decorate lamp posts along Main Street with imaginative and festive scarecrows.
Applications are now open and must be submitted by noon on September 10, 2025.
🛠 How It Works:
- Entry is FREE and open to everyone in the area.
- Lamp posts will be assigned by September 12.
- All scarecrows must be installed by September 19—just in time for Rocky Mount Fest on September 20!
- Judging takes place October 1–20, with cash prizes and a People’s Choice Award announced at Waid Park during Spooky S’mores & Fireside Tales.
- Scarecrows must be removed by November 1, 2025.
🎨 Decorate With Pride:
- Entries must be family-friendly—we're going for festive, not frightening.
- Use sturdy, weather-resistant materials and secure everything well.
- Entries must be between 4–7 feet tall and no wider than 4 feet, and must not block sidewalks.
🏆 Who's going to win this year?
Make sure your scarecrow:
- Is installed by the deadline of September 19.
- Includes your entry number, scarecrow name, and creator info
- Stays within the designated Scarecrow Trail boundaries
